A pioneering African American painter known for his modernist style, Motley captured the essence of the Harlem Renaissance in this piece.

Experience the legacy of the swing era with vocalist Charles Turner, who will perform vibrant bebop, swing, and blues music. After the concert, engage in artmaking activities inspired by the painting.
