Join Dare2Draw at Arts Gowanus Open Studios – Oct. 18 & 19! (12-6PM)
Dare2Draw “Cartoonist Esprit de Corps” in Gowanus
Join us this October 18-19, 2025 (12-6PM) when more than 400 artists, businesses, and venues in Gowanus will open their doors, giving the public a rare glimpse inside the former factories, warehouses, and studio buildings of our vibrant neighborhood. Artists will be present to discuss their work, share their processes, and showcase their latest projects. Plus, it’s a unique opportunity to purchase work directly from local artists.
Dear Dare2Draw Creators and Friends,
We have some fantastic news! Dare2Draw Studios is excited to be participating in this year’s 29th Arts Gowanus Open Studios on October 18th & 19th.
This event is a wonderful extension of our outreach with local artist groups in Red Hook and Gowanus. We’re proud to be part of the creative hub at our building, alongside amazing art & mentoring organizations like Arts Gowanus, Reel Works, Groundswell Community Mural Project, Brooklyn Art Cluster, Playground Brooklyn, Brooklyn Children’s Theatre, and the Textile Arts Center to name a few. Thanks to the generous support of our landlord, we will be activating the front lobby of our high-tech coworking space as a vibrant hub for the weekend.

We have space for a limited number of artists to showcase and sell their work. If you would like to reserve a spot at our table for a few hours to sell your comic books, zines, or artwork, please contact me as soon as possible.
Alongside our featured artists, the weekend will be packed with creativity, including:
- The return of the Dare2Draw “Quick Draw” art challenge sketches
- A special liquidation sale of comics, toys, and art supplies
- The 29th annual Arts Gowanus Open Studios is a free weekend event where hundreds of artists in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn open their workspaces to the public. It’s a vibrant opportunity to meet artists, discuss their work, see their creative processes, and purchase art directly from them
This is a perfect opportunity to connect with the local art community, share your passion, and celebrate creativity together.
Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out—reach out to me ASAP to secure your spot!
Looking forward to re-connecting and making new friends,
Charles Sincero
