L is for the way you look is a cult classic, a short film that cobbles together lesbian history using whatever scraps of gossip and memory can be found.  Central to the story is the retelling of a Dolly Parton/Fran Lebowitz sighting at a Reno performance at P.S. 122.  It’s a humorous portrait of a population’s creative tussle for visibility and inclusion.

Jean Carlomusto is an Emmy nominated filmmaker, activist, and interactive media artist whose work explores the complex nature of unique individuals and LGBTQ+ populations.
