Transmitter is pleased to present “Herencia Viviente: Living Inheritance” a group exhibition featuring Anacelis Martinez, Evelyn Martinez, Katherine “Kat” Miranda, Kai Velázquez, Lupita Romero, and Maribel Marmolejo Reyes organized by guest curator Jas Pinturas. In “Herencia Viviente: Living Inheritance” each artist approaches collage, photography, and film, forming modes of preservation and framing a resistance to the status quo. The varied works function as community care that uplifts the lives and labor of women, too often undervalued; here they are center stage.
